Roll Call reports:

the Trump administration escalated its sudden sabre-rattling toward Iran when President Donald Trump directly criticized Tehran in a series of tweets ... Hours after his top national security adviser put Iran “on notice” and other senior administration officials refused to rule out U.S. military action against the Islamic Republic, Trump himself appeared to threaten the Middle Eastern power in a series of tweets — and the words of U.S. presidents carry far more weight than career bureaucrats briefing behind the veil of anonymity

Call your Rep. now at (202) 224-3121. When you reach a staffer or leave a message, you can say something like:

I urge you to invoke Congressional war powers before President Trump attacks Iran. Congress must debate and vote.

When you've made your call, please report it below.

And if you haven't signed our petition to Congress yet, please do that here.

Your page pull-down list for U.S. Representatives shows Donna Edwards for district MD-04. That should be updated to Anthony Brown. Also I could not fill in the text box for feedback on my call and that needs a fix so the page works in Firefox 51.0.1.

I called Betty McCollum office and left a message with a staff member requesting that the Congresswoman speak to this on the House floor. I was told that the message would be passed along.

I telephoned Earl Blumenauer's office (Democrat, 3rd district, Oregon). I was told my request that the Congressman address the House against the prospect of war with Iran would certainly be passed on.

I called Rep. Carbajal for the CA 24th district. Lois Capps is on you drop down list for this district, so that needs to be changed. YY

Against the Sabre rattling. War Powers Act pre-existing.

I called Rep. Walden's office (Republican, 2nd District, OR) and spoke to Rebeca.
I urged Congressman Walden to support invoking the War Powers Act, and said it was very irresponsible for President Trumps National security adviser, to make threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

I called Rep Steve Knight C-35 district. Asked him to invoke congressional war powers before Pre Trump attaches Iran. Congress must debate and vote

9tawhHJust spoke to Rep. Labrador to voice my objections to Trump's unlawful threat to Iran. IT was a cordial change.

I called Mark Meadows, District 11, spoke with his intern, told him my name, address, to please invoke the War Powers Act because trump had not been very self controlled so far, and I was worried about what he would do. He said that sounded like a very good idea, he would pass it on.
