*Action: Tell Ambassador Feierstein: End Drone Strikes, Send Yeminis Home
Next week, Robert Naiman is heading to Yemen on a delegation of US peace advocates, where he'll be meeting Gerald Feierstein, the U.S. Ambassador to Yemen. He'll urge Ambassador Feierstein to use his influence to end US drone strikes in Yemen - especially "signature strikes" in which the US doesn't even know who it is targeting - and to ensure that Yemeni prisoners at Guantanamo who the US government has cleared for release are sent home without delay.
Add your voice!
Sign our petition and Naiman will hand-deliver it - with your signature - to Ambassador Feierstein:

Help support my trip to Yemen!
Our delegation will help draw the media spotlight to the US's ongoing drone war in Yemen and put further pressure on the Administration to reform US drone strike policy.

*Action: Send Robert Naiman to Yemen
Just Foreign Policy's Robert Naiman is planning to join a Code Pink peace delegation to Yemen June 11-18, helping to raise the profile of Yemeni demands to repatriate Yemenis from Guantanamo and end US drone strikes. You can support this peace mission here:

*Action: Cessez le Feu! Don't Let France Kill the Syria Peace Talks
France said it will oppose the Syria peace conference if Iran is invited. But for peace talks to have a chance to end the war, all the parties involved in the conflict have to be there. Excluding Iran would likely condemn the peace talks to failure. Tell Washington: for peace talks to work, everyone has to be there.

On Friday, Help MoveOn Kill Chained CPI and Cut the Pentagon Instead
On Friday, MoveOn is calling for actions at Congressional offices to stop the President's proposal to cut Social Security and veterans' benefits by using the "chained CPI" to cut the cost-of-living adjustment. This is a historic opportunity to push back on the 1%'s idea that Social Security and veterans' benefits should be cut to protect the Pentagon budget from cuts. Sign our petition, share our blog, help organize a petition delivery action at a Congressional office near you; write to Congress if you haven't already.

Cut Social Security & Veterans' Benefits? Cut the Pentagon Instead
According to the CBO, Obama's proposal to cut Social Security and veterans' benefits using the chained CPI will save the government $163 billion over ten years. Three better ways to save $163 billion: end the war in Afghanistan; cut the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter by 10% (267 planes); cut Pentagon contracting and bring the work in-house.
