Jesse Jackson, Danny Glover, Harry Belafonte: Speed Aid to Haiti
Submitted by robert naiman on 28 January 2010 - 2:15pm
Reverend Jesse Jackson, Danny Glover, and Harry Belafonte, together with Haiti NGOs, peace groups, and Latin America scholars, have written to Congress urging that the delivery of medical aid and other urgently needed aid to Haiti be speeded up and prioritized over the deployment of U.S. troops.
The letter is here.
An article in the Miami Herald is here.

We cannot deny the fact that the delivery of medical aid and other urgently needed aid to Haiti is badly needed by the victims than the deployment of US troops for war and terrorism. Loans are surely not enough to save the lives and needs of our Haiti victims since hospitals, markets and other infrastructure in Haiti is undoubtedly damage because of earthquakes. That is why I can purely understand the letter of Reverend Jesse Jackson, Danny Glover, and Harry Belafonte in making appealing to congress about the urgency of the medical and other aids for Haiti.
