House Debates Afghanistan

After eight years of war and occupation, the U.S. House of Representatives finally debated the issue of an exit strategy from Afghanistan. Just Foreign Policy was a leader in the push for Congress to take this important step towards ending the war, and we thank all our members who have emailed and called their Representatives on this issue.

What Still Needs To Be Done

We still have a lot of work to do to bring about an end to the war in Afghanistan. Congress will have an opportunity to move forward the debate over ending the war in Afghanistan soon when they consider an "emergency supplemental" to pay for the military escalation announced by President Obama in December. If we want an end to the war to be at the center of the debate, we need to move Members of Congress now. Write to your Representative >
