What can we do to end one war and prevent another?

Tools for Host Groups

Thank you for hosting a stop on the Tour for a Just Foreign Policy for Iran and Iraq! The below materials can be downloaded and printed for outreach for your event. If you have any technical problems with the materials, please let us know - tour@justforeignpolicy.org.
More detailed information that will help with organizing your event is available below.

The poster can be scaled down when printing to make flyer on any size paper.
The location, date, time, and contact information for the event can be filled in with the typewriter tool of Adobe Reader.
The poster prints best if you download it to your hard drive and reopen it and print from there. You can also send the files to a copy shop for higher quality color printing. We are happy to share the original files in Illustrator.

If you have any problems with printing, please feel free to get in touch with us and we will try to help - tour@justforeignpolicy.org.

Hosting Needs

Thanks again for hosting a stop on the Tour for a Just Foreign Policy for Iran and Iraq! In order to make the event a success before we arrive, we are asking all sponsoring groups for the following:

Space and set-up. Please secure a space that can hold an audience and the panel and a space that can hold a photo exhibit of fifteen 36”x24” images. The photo exhibit space can be the same space as the presentation space or it can be separate from it, but in the same building.

  • Displaying the photo exhibit. We are providing a variety of ways to display the photo exhibit, including installing hooks or velcro on the walls or placing the images on easels. There are fifteen high quality images each 36”x24” mounted on a very light foam board.
  • Sound set-up. Depending on the space you choose, we will need the appropriate sound including at least two microphones and sound system.
  • Table. We will need at least one table for materials.
  • Time. Please reserve the space for at least three hours (four is ideal to include extra time for setting up). Speakers will talk for one hour, leaving 30 minutes for Q&A and 30 minutes for guests to mingle and look at the photo exhibit.

Outreach: There are a variety of tools available above for outreach, including a sample poster and flyer that you can download, print, and distribute. There is also a sample email template announcing the event for list serves. We will announce all events on our web page and through our email lists, but since you know your community much better than we do, we will assume that the majority of outreach will come from the efforts of your group.  If we can help at all, please let us know.

Media outreach. Please send a press release about the tour to local radio shows and newspapers.  The speakers have an op-ed that can be pitched to print media. They will also be available for interviews before the tour visits to help with public outreach. Sample media materials will be available soon. If you need tips with press outreach please let us know.

On the day of the event:

We will need three people to help us hang the photo exhibition at least 1.5 hours before the event opening.

After the event we will need three people to help us take down the photo exhibition and re-pack it safely in the van.

If we are spending the night, it would be great if there are volunteers that could host us for the night in their homes. There will be between four and five people traveling on the tour.
